Charlestown Man Busted For Fare Evasion, Gets Arrested: Police
Police said the man didn't pay his MBTA fare, and when they went to issue him a ticket for that, they found out a few other things.

CHARLESTOWN, MA — A Charlestown man was arrested and charged on several warrants after police said he piggybacked on someone else's fare at the MBTA's North Station Green Line stop last Thursday.
On July 18, when Transit Police said they were made aware of the man they went up to him to give him a ticket.
Transit Police said the man, later identified as Derek Matarazzo, 31, of Charlestown, first gave them a false name.

Matarazzo, it turned out, was wanted for assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and threats to commit a crime on warrants out of Lowell District Court.
Police placed Matarazzo into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. During this process officers found what they believed to be a controlled narcotics on him.
