Christmas Winter Coat Program Seeks Support

For the past 10 years, Charlestown Against Drugs has provided new coats, hats and gloves for children in need around the neighborhood. Last year alone, CHAD distributed items to more than 200 children with these items. 

CHAD is asking for any donation so that it can continue the tradition. To donate, mail checks to Charlestown Against Drugs, P.O. Box 35, Charlestown, MA 02129. Organizers will purchase the winter clothing in bulk.

And if, or someone you know, are in need of winter coats for children, contact Michael Charbonnier at 617-343-4826. Residents of BHA Development, Charles Newtown and Peabody properties can pick up applications at their management office. Applications due by Dec. 5, 2011 at 4 p.m.
