Get Fancy Get Styled, Get Photographed - for $35

Plus, watch out for that falling snow.

Today is Wednesday, Feb. 9. Here are five things you need to know today.

1. There’s been plenty of wreckage this winter. Trees. Roof tops. MBTA schedules. Public education. You can add a couple of cars parked in the Navy Yard to the list. WHDH news crews were back in the neighborhood last night, this time to report on snow, falling off the top of the Chain Forge building in the Navy Yard only to crush vehicles below. Check out the video. You gotta love the grave tone TV news people can give just about any topic. And compliments to the Boston Redevelopment Authority, for taking ownership of the situation. According to this report, officials there will cover damages on the cars that were destroyed ...(wait for it)… BY FALLING SNOW.

2. Not too long ago we ran a , the force behind Boutique 4 A Week shows. She brings high fashion right in the neighborhood. Today she’s hosting a trunk show just outside the neighborhood, but one worth checking out all the same. From 5 to 8 p.m., she’ll be at Savas Studios and the Boutique at 456 Hanover St. (the North End). ETCETERA’s spring line with be highlighted and every woman who stops by has the chance to get private, professional styling and a mini photo shoot for $35. Call for more details — 617-728-7775. Appointments are first come, first serve.

3. Just in case anyone can help: There was a brown calico cat found three days ago on Tufts Street. Maria, who posted the news on Patch, says it’s clear this cat is lost. If you’ve got any info on who in the neighborhood might be missing a cat, get in touch with me and I’ll get in touch with Maria: kristi.ceccarossi@patch.com.

4. Attention Dems! Put this date in your planners: On Feb. 17, there will be a caucus at the Knights at 6:30 p.m. to elect 12 delegates and one alernate to the state’s Democratic Convention. If you’re interested in attending the convention, or just interested in having a say about which of your fellow Democrats gets to go, don’t miss this. For more details, .

5. I regret to inform you that winter is back. There will be no precipitation today (unless you’re standing under an abandoned building in the Navy Yard), but it will be cold. About 27 degrees, with wind chills as low as -3. Tonight: Low around 12, with some some wind. Hopefully you didn’t set fire to your long underwear during that 48-hour warm spell. Which is exactly what I wanted to do.
