Man Assaulted In Charlestown Dies: Police Investigating

Now police are asking for the public's help in finding out what happened.

CHARLESTOWN, MA — Early Thursday morning a man died after he was assaulted in Charlestown. Now police are asking for the public's help in finding out just what happened.

Someone called police around 3:41 a.m. Thursday to report an assault near 75 Alford St. When they got there police found a man suffering from "undetermined traumatic injuries," they said. He was declared dead shortly after.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the assault and encourage anyone with information to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470 or call the anonymous CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
