Manager Of Charlestown Homeless Nonprofit Accused Of Embezzling
Prosecutors say she stole from a nonprofit housing agency that supports low-income and homeless families.

CHARLESTOWN, MA — A woman who was a former employee of a Charlestown nonprofit whose aim is to support families experiencing homelessness was indicted in connection with a scheme to steal funds from it, Attorney General Maura Healey announced.
Donna Scott, 52, of Vallejo, California, was indicted this week by a Statewide Grand Jury on Larceny over $250.
The AG's office is accusing Scott of embezzling more than $45,000 dollars from Heading Home Inc, a nonprofit housing agency primarily funded by state grants, from March 2015 through November 2016. During the time, Scott was a program manager focusing on housing and stabilization issues at the organization.
