NEW Health Charlestown Opens Office on Tufts Street

The new office extends North End Waterfront Health's high-quality services, including adult care, adolescent care, pediatric care, and more.

North End Waterfront Health is proud to announce that its satellite office, NEW Health Charlestown, has opened its doors at 15 Tufts Street.

NEW Health Charlestown extends North End Waterfront Health’s high-quality services, including adult primary care, adolescent primary care, pediatric primary care, obstetrics and gynecological services, behavioral health care, vision care, dental care, health education, and laboratory diagnostic services.

The health center offers services designed to help patients when they are sick and programs to keep them well. Same-day appointments are available for urgent care, such as illnesses or minor injuries.

“We are thrilled to finally open our doors at 15 Tufts Street and begin caring for the Charlestown community,” says Jim Luisi, CEO of North End Waterfront Health, located at 332 Hanover Street in the North End. “We are excited to unveil our brand new space, which was designed specifically to meet the needs of the community. It features state-of-the art equipment and comfortable exam rooms and waiting areas. I encourage everyone to stop by to take a look.”

NEW Health Charlestown accepts all major public and private insurances, and certified insurance enrollment workers are available to assist those who need to apply for health insurance. And, because NEW Health is a federally funded health center, it offers a sliding-fee discount to those who qualify and serves all patients regardless of ability to pay.

“Our staff cannot wait to begin serving the Charlestown community,” says Zoila Feldman, RN, BLS, MSc., North End Waterfront Health’s chief expansion officer and NEW Health Charlestown’s site manager. “Our healthcare model features patient-focused teams who will work to provide primary care, prevention, and wellness services. We have a diverse and skilled group of staff highly qualified staff who are also fluent in English, Spanish, Haitian-Creole, Portuguese, French, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Interpreter services will be available for those who need them in additional languages. Dr. Anne Chiraboga, who is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics is joined by Dr. Yulya Kutsman, who is a family medicine physician.”

The health center also offers other specialty services, such as, podiatry, radiology, specialty referral, and transportation services through its main site on Hanover Street as needed.NEW Health Charlestown is currently open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is accepting new patients.
