The restaurant just opened amid the pandemic of 2020.

CHARLESTOWN, MA — Dovetail and "The Shop" at Dovetail opened over the weekend. The restaurant opened amid pandemic in the space once occupied by the Navy Yard Bistro.
The owners Michael and Kari Cooney and Chef John Payne of Brewer’s Fork Restaurant planned to take over the Navy Yard Bistro in 2019 after getting word that that restaurant would be closing after nearly 15 years.
The team had originally planned to open the new restaurant earlier this year after renovation and work to secure an alcohol license, according to the Charlestown Bridge.
