Fire Near Korean War Memorial In Charlestown

CHARLESTOWN, MA — Firefighters responded to a report of a fire outside along 8th Street in Charlestown near the Naval Shipyard Park. It's not clear if it was a brush fire or something else, but when officials say they're responding to an "outside" fire, they mean it's not a building or car on fire.

Engine 32 was sent to take care of the fire on 8th Street, around 2:30 p.m. Friday.
