Police Reports: Man Arrested After Undercover Officer Buys Drugs

After selling crack cocaine to an undercover officer, a Charlestown man was arrested.

These reports were collected from the Boston Police Department and took place within Charlestown's District, A-15. The time and place of the alleged crimes are listed. Persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Thursday, Feb. 3

  • At 12:53 a.m., police responded to a report of larceny (under $200) at 20 Dunstable Street.
  • At 8:40 a.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident with a city vehicle at 33 Russel St.
  • At 9:45 a.m., police arrested Shania G. Taylor of Boston on an outstanding warrant.
  • At 1:26 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Rutherford Avenue.
  • At 3 p.m., police responded to a report of vandalism at 50 Decatur St.
  • At 6:30 p.m., police responded to a report of larceny from a vehicle (over $200) at 28 Walker St.
  • At 5:18 p.m., police arrested Shawn K. Roumo of 146 Medford St., on a charge of drug possession (Class B) with intent to distribute. He was arrested at 87 Medford St. An undercover officer attempted to purchase crack cocaine from Roumo. The officer met Roumo at NewTowne Convenience. He paid Roumo $50 in cash. The two walked out of the store together and Roumo reportedly spit an item from his mouth into his right hand and passed it to the officer. According to the police report, it was a clear plastic bag containing a white rock substance. Roumo walked away and was arrested shortly thereafter outside 110 Medford St. Roumo will be charged with an additional count of distribution of Class Be within a school zone.

Friday, Feb. 4

  • At 10:30 a.m., police responded to a report of drug possession at Charlestown High School. Upon searching a student, officers found a bag of marijuana. The quantity was under an ounce and the student was issued a non-criminal citation.
  • At 9 p.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle leaving the scene of an accident/property damage at 17 Henley St.
  • At 3:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle leaving the scene of an accident/property damage on High Street.
  • At 6 p.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle leaving the scene of an accident/property damage on Walker Street.
  • At 9:10 p.m., police responded to a report of a sexual assault. None of the details were released to Patch. It was listed as a classified report in Boston Police logs.

Saturday, Feb. 5

  • At 11 p.m., police responded to a report of a violation of a restraining order at 58 Decatur Street.
  • At 8:30 a.m., police responded to a verbal dispute at 42 8th St.
  • At 11:55 a.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident/property damage on Henley Street.
  • At 1:30 p.m., police responded to a report of larceny from a motor vehicle (over $200) at 150 3rd Ave.
  • At 9 p.m., license plates were reportedly stolen from a vehicle on Union Street.
  • At 6:13 p.m., police responded to a report of motor vehicle accident/property damage on Warren Street.

Sunday, Feb. 6

  • At 11:50 p.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Alford Street.
  • At 9:30 p.m., police responded to a report of vandalism at 29 Monument Square.
  • At 11 a.m., police responded to a report of a dangerous or hazardous condition at 105 1st Ave.
  • At 4:45 p.m., police responded to a report of vandalism at 74 Decatur St.
