There's a Primary in Boston Today, but Not in Charlestown

There was a shortage of City Council candidates this year, so voters in only three districts will participate in today's primary.

Today is Tuesday, Sept. 27. Here are five things you need to know today.

1. There's a primary election in Boston today, but not for Charlestown voters. The neighborhood's district councilor, Sal LaMattina, is running unopposed. And there weren't enough candidates for the city's at-large seats to require a primary. (Only residents in districts two, three and seven will be heading to the polls.) Our columnist John Keith was . 2. The Charlestown Chamber of Commerce announced a new location for the fall . The market is moving from the Bunker Hill Mall to City Square (on the Freedom Trail), to get a bit closer to the influx of tourists that will be in town for the holiday weekend.

3. One of Charlestown's most inspiring community groups, , participated in the Flutie 5k for Autism over the weekend in Natick. They posted some photos on their Facebook page. Take a look.
