Tonight: Artist's Reception for German Pérez

His works, featured through mid-October at the Mary L. Fifield Art Gallery, speak to issues of immigration, relocation, memory and more.

CHARLESTOWN, MA — This month's featured exhibit at Bunker Hill Community College uses visual art and the written word to focus on themes of immigration, relocation, memory and the refugee experience.

According to BHCC:

Renowned Dominican painter German Pérez is a leading exponent of the island’s artistic scene and his works have been widely exhibited around the globe. His art reflects his country’s search for an identity and offers a deep reflection of his cultural heritage. His current exhibit in the BHCC gallery is titled Mostly @ Sea, and features new and retrospective works.

The college hosts an artist's reception Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Mary L. Fifield Art Gallery.
