Wanted: Wisdom from Charlestown Moms
Also, there's an art opening at Bunker Hill Community College tonight and the Tavern helps lonely heats on Valentine's Day.

Today is Thursday, Feb. 10. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. Charlestown Moms: We need you! Yesterday we posted a new feature on our site — . The idea is that each week we’ll post a new question (from a mom somewhere in Boston) and that other moms, from all neighborhoods around the city, will weigh in with their expertise. This week we heard from a few women about the best and safest way to find a new babysitter. However, there aren’t any words of wisdom on there from Charlestown mothers — yet. If you have a moment, and you’re so inclined, . And if you’d like to have a spot on the Boston Moms Talk email list, please let me know: kristi.ceccarossi@patch.com.
2. So next Monday is Valentine’s Day. If you’re not currently coupled, have no fear. The Warren Tavern is ready to help you drown your sorrows … meet some other unattached locals and win some prizes. Kim Mahoney tells me that Monday evening is usually trivia night at the Tavern. But on the 14th, it will be a special Singles-Friendly Trivia — and the winning team will win Ambiance Day Spa and Salon gift certificates. Think facials, massages and hair cuts. Gentleman, do not balk at a massage. Or a hair cut. The ladies (or other gentlmen) like these things.

3. The Art Gallery at Bunker Hill Community College is consistently bringing new, provocative and important work to the neighborhood. The latest exhibit, Pieces of a Dream by Boston artist Ekua Holmes is no exception. This is a solo show, highlighting 20 plus years of her paintings and mixed media. Her work explores family, childhood, hope, faith and relationships. The show is running through March 25, but there’s an opening reception tonight at the gallery from 6 to 8:30 p.m. It’s free, but you can bring a donation of art supplies to the event. They will benefit Haitian artists. For more info, visit the Bunker Hill Art Gallery site. Â
4. Here’s another very different but equally fantastic event happening in Charlestown tonight: A Valentine’s Day Dance at Durty Harry’s — for dogs — to benefit Lucky Lab Rescue. Harry and his friends will be treated to pupcakes. And any humans that attend will be treated to drinks and snacks. The fun starts at 6 p.m.

5. The coldness will persist, but at least the skies are clear. Today’s forecast: Sunny with a high of 26. And tonight: Low around 9.
