- Neighbors Reject Medford Street Beer and Wine Shop Proposal—Members of the Charlestown Neighborhood Council this week voted down a plan to open a high-end beer and wine store in the lower level of the new Mystic Lofts development on Medford Street, expressing concerns about the proposed shop’s proximity to the high school and other issues.Â
- Developers Share Visions for Charlestown Armory—Three separate visions for the old Charlestown Armory were presented to local residents last week, and all three ideas included something that has been repeatedly included in the community’s wish list: parking.
- Welcome to the New Charlestown Patch—Your community website has fresh features and a new look.
- Charlestown Sees Low Voter Turnout for Special Election—Voter turnout in Charlestown for the special state election on Tuesday was on par with citywide numbers, with about 25 percent of registered local voters casting their ballots for Massachusetts’ new U.S. senator.Â
- Police Reports: Stranger Starts Fight on Boat—A man was arrested on Friday, June 21 after he allegedly boarded another person’s boat uninvited and then started a fight that ended with both men in the water.
- 'City Hall To Go' Truck To Make Regular Stops—Boston's "City Hall To Go" truck will begin making regular visits to several city neighborhoods this summer, starting on July 2.
- Affordable Housing Opportunities at Warren Green—The Boston Redevelopment Authority will be conducting an affordable housing lottery for two luxury condos located at Warren Green in Charlestown starting July 8.
