Where To Vote in Charlestown for the Special Election
Polls are open on Tuesday, June 25 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Boston will help choose the next U.S Senator from Massachusetts in today's special state election.
Democratic candidate Edward Markey of Malden will face off against Republican candidate Gabriel Gomez of Cohasset as well as third-party candidate Richard Heos, a Woburn resident who represents the Twelve Visions Party, for the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
Residents in the Eighth Suffolk District, which does not include Charlestown, will also be voting for a state representative in the special election. Only one candidate, Democrat Jay Livingstone of Boston, is on the ballot for that race.
