Who Shoveled the Boston Marathon Finish Line?

People are itching to find how who did it and why. Do you have any idea?

WSHM CBS 3 Springfield reported that an anonymous volunteer, perhaps a passionate Bostonian, shoveled the Boston Marathon finish line after the 2015 blizzard that is still winding down as of Wednesday, Jan. 28.

The storm, which was expected to reach historic snowfall numbers, resulted in 26 inches for Boston as of 3 p.m. Tuesday. As of 1 a.m. Wednesday South Boston received 31 inches of snowfall, according to the National Weather Service.

Boston Mayor Martin Walsh reminded residents on Tuesday to assist neighbors, “especially the elderly and disabled,” with the messy storm recovery process. It can be argued that the nameless shoveler who scraped the white off the Boston Marathon finish line was reminding the community to be hopeful and resilient in tough times.

“I thought it was a powerful image when I looked at it,’’ Phillip Hillman, who first tweeted a photo of the occurrence Tuesday, said to NBC’s Today.com. “I’ve been a resident of Massachusetts my whole life. For us, that finish line has become sacred ground. It just was like, Boston is strong, and even the storm couldn’t stop us.”
