UPDATE: 2 Bank Robbery Suspects Arrested: Police
One suspect allegedly tried to steal a car in a parking lot across the street from the bank after fleeing, police said.

CHELMSFORD, MA - Two men were arrested Friday for allegedly robbing a Chelmsford bank, police said.
Kyle Nathan, 23, of Pembroke and James Sarno, 37, of Weymouth allegedly hit the Citizens Bank in the Stop and Shop on Chelmsford St. at about 10:30 a.m., police said.
The pair allegedly arrived at the store in a taxi, police said. Once inside, Nathan allegedly approached the bank and demanded money before reaching over the counter and grabbing some cash for himself, police said.

No weapon was shown during the incident, police said.
The duo fled and Sarno allegedly tried to steal a woman's car in the Market Basket parking lot across the street from the bank but failed to do so, police said.

K9 Stryka and Danvers Officer Justin Ellenton were in the area for training. The team responded to assist with a search of woods in the area of the bank.
Stryka sniffed out Sarno hiding in a marshy area in her first-ever apprehension, police said.
Nathan was apprehended by Lowell Police at the Charles A. Gallagher Transit Terminal on Thorndike Street, police said. Nathan was charged with Unarmed Robbery, according to police..
Both Sarno and Nathan are being charged with unarmed robbery, police said.
The FBI is investigating the robbery because Nathan is believed to have been involved with other crimes, police said. Nathan will likely be facing federal charges, according to police.
"I am proud of the diligent police work that led to the quick apprehension of both suspects involved in this case,” Chief James Spinney said in a news release. "I would like to thank our law enforcement partners for their assistance in the search today, we could not have done it without their help.”
