Charlotte C. (Hogan) Gavin, 66

Charlotte C. (Hogan) Gavin, 66, a longtime resident of Deerfield, NH died Thursday, November 21, 2013 at her home with her loving family by her side, following multiple battles with cancer

She was born in Lowell on October 14, 1947, and was a daughter of the late Myles J. and Emma E. (Becker) Hogan.  She received her education in Chelmsford schools and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School. 

Charlotte was employed for 18 years as a licensed practical nurse by the Manchester VA Medical Center.  Earlier in her career she was employed by the E.N. Rogers VA Medical Center in Bedford, MA. 

Her farm house was her life’s passion. 

Charlotte is survived by three daughters, Lisa Vets of Manchester, NH, Laura MacPhail of Lakeland, FL, and Dawn MacPhail of Deerfield, NH; seven grandchildren, Ricky, Matthew, Korey, Daryin, Haley, Samantha, and Derrick; a sister, Elizabeth O’Connell of Deerfield; four brothers, Myles “Fred” Hogan and his wife Marsha of Chelmsford; Mark Hogan and his wife Elaine of Deerfield, NH, Keith Hogan and his wife Joan of Chelmsford and Stephen Hogan and his wife Deb of Deerfield, NH; and many nieces and nephews.  She was also the mother of the late Barbara Downing, who died in 2009. 

Visitation will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD on Monday from 5 until 7 pm.  Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 12 Noon at the funeral home.  Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford.  Funeral Director Paul A.
