Chelmsford 4th Of July Parade: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time

CHELMSFORD, MA — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Chelmsford so you can start planning now.

Chelmsford's 4th of July Parade is known as one of the states finest Independece Day celebrations. More than fifty years of continuous parades mean a lot of local tradition. From the lights and sounds of the fire trucks and emergency vehicles that roll down North Rd to our veterans and dignitaries, marching bands, floats and minutemen, we love our parade!

The parade starts each year at McCarthy school, rain or shine at 10:00 AM and ends at the center of town at about noon. The first 1.5 miles of the parade route are generally not too crowded and offer great views. When the parade crosses Rt 495 things get more crowded as they approach the common and the reviewing stand.

The parade continues through the center and doesn't end until it gets to Adams Library.Bring a chair or stand in a shady spot, wear sunscreen and enjoy! Can't make it?
