
Chelmsford has had a disappointing year on the gridiron, but due to new MIAA rules, they’ll be eligible for a new format of the playoffs.
Although they only finished 3-4, the Lions will now enter a round robin consolation tournament in the lead up to their annual Thanksgiving Day classic against Billerica.
Finishing 10th in the Division 2 North MIAA Power Ratings, they will start with Peabody at home on the weekend of Nov.1, heading to Lawrence for the weekend of Nov. 8 and then concluding the consolation tournament at home against Andover on the weekend of Nov. 15.

The Vikings, the fourth seed in the Central Division III consolation tournament, will play Ayer-Shirley on the weekend of Nov. 1.
Then the winner of that game will play the winner of Sutton and Narragansett the following week while the loser will play the loser of the Sutton/Narragansett game.

Nashoba Tech will then have one final game in the consolation tournament on the weekend of Nov. 15 before concluding their season on Thanksgiving in Fitchburg against Monty Tech.
