CHELMSFORD, MA - Friday the 13th is approaching and Chelmsford ghosts could be coming out to play. Here are some Chelmsford ghost stories that we've found around the internet. We can't guarantee that the stories are true, but isn't it more fun to believe they are?

Haunted restaurant:

Aprile's Restaurant, which used to be Bainbridges, is haunted by several ghosts, according to Hauntedplaces.org. There are rumors that say it has pictures that move and a woman’s spirit has been heard crying. Ghostly children have been reported playing in the night. The restaurant is in an old 1694 mill, the Lowell Sun reported.

Haunted limestone quarry:

The limestone quarry is haunted by a ghost who died in an accident there long ago, according to a submission to GhostsofAmerica.com. The writer's grandfather told him he would sneak up on the ghost but it would always disappear. The writer thought it was just a story but said he had recently heard similar things from other people and even a ghost hunter.

The most haunted place in North America.

Chelmsford's woods are extremely haunted, according to a book written by a Chelmsford local. Norman Shaw, author of “Coggers: A Tale from a Haunted Life,” says the Merrimack Valley region swamp, woods and abandoned reform school are filled with spooky spirits, Wicked Local reported. Coggers was originally owned by the area's first settlers, Shaw wrote on his website. Shaw calls the woods "the most haunted place in North America" on his website.
