
CHELMSFORD -- Chelmsford High School's a cappella ensemble, The Thursdays, placed first in the northeast semifinal round of the International Championship of High School A Cappella, according to The Sun.
The Thursdays will advance to the finals in New York City in April.
The final round will feature 10 high-school a cappella groups from across North America, and will include eight of the semifinalist round winners and two wild-card ensembles.

The finals will be held at Town Hall Theater, 123 West 43rd St., in New York City, on Friday, April 21, at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com.
