Chelmsford Man Crashes Car Into Nashua River

The Lowell Sun reports that a Chelmsford man did not suffer injuries after his car careened into a river in Pepperell on Monday.

The Lowell Sun reports that 34-year-old Chelmsford resident Matthew Giaimo was not injured following an incident on Monday where he crashed his car into the Nashua River in Pepperell. 

Police responded to the incident at 1 p.m., learning that Giaimo veered his car straight over a bridge without guardrails due to distracted driving, escaping from the vehicle by escaping through an open window.

His car was removed from the river by 4 p.m., but was considered a total loss.

There was no contamination of the river according to Pepperell Police Lt. Todd Blain.
