Chelmsford Police Arrest Dorchester Woman for Allegedly Passing Bad Checks

Chelmsford Police made just one arrest in the last week, taking a Dorchester woman into custody for alleged check fraud.

On Monday, June 16, at 1:03 p.m. multiple officers responded to a Drum Hill Road business for a report of a person passing bad checks.

Following the incident, police arrested Renita Singleton, 32, of 10 Dix Street, Dorchester on a variety of charges.

Singleton was charged with forgery, uttering a forged instrument, and an outstanding warrant for larceny by check.
