When the RMS Titanic sank on the eve of April 14, 1912, the world focused on the inconceivable sinking of a ship believed to be unsinkable. Over time, the world would come to know the compelling stories of her passengers: the hopes and dreams, heartbreak and heroism of the various social classes who set sail on this historic journey — some to enjoy the luxury of the finest ship at sea, others sailing to a new life in America — all blissfully unaware of the fate that awaited them.

Dana Siegal, the artistic director for VOH and Titanic explains, "Ironically Titanic is a story of hope and humanity. Most people think of it as the story of the ship and it's a dark story. But in fact it's a wonderful, beautiful story of the indomitable human spirit. It's important to understand that even in our darkest days humanity rises with persistence and perseverance, bravery, resilience and I think those are the stories that need to be told about Titanic. It really is the story of the people and not the ship."
Voices of Hope invites the public on board their production of the Tony Award-winning best musical Titanic which sails onto the stage at North Shore Music Theatre for the first time.
Titanic offers something for lovers of both history and musical theater, as it explores the conditions, causes, and indomitable human spirit of the legendary “ship of dreams.”
