Chelmsford Rt. 3 Closures Announced Next Week

CHELMSFORD, MA – There will be overnight lane closures and rolling roadblocks on Rt. 3 South between Exits 32 and 33 in Chelmsford next week, MassDOT announced Friday. Closures will take place the evenings of Wednesday, Nov. 14 and Thursday, Nov. 15 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Rolling roadblocks will be used after midnight as needed. Drivers are encouraged to reduce speed and use caution while traveling through the work zone.

Crews will be installing new overhead variable message sign structures as part of a $2.8 million project to install signs on various highways, MassDOT said.
