Chelmsford Teachers' Contract Ended June 30: Now What?
A reader asked about when this year's teachers' contracts will be ready, and Patch got an answer.

Chelmsford's teachers' contract that began June 1, 2010 ran out on June 30. The school administration has begun working toward creating a new teachers' contract.Â
"The school committee and administration are actively working with the Chelmsford Federation of Teachers for a successor contract to the one that ended this past June 30th," Superintendent of Schools Frank Tiano said in an email statement. "We will continue to work collaboratively through the summer."Â
The Chelmsford School District and the Chelmsford Federation of Teachers deliberated about the last contract for 20 months before coming to an agreement.Â
