Chelmsford Winter Storm Watch: 6-10 Inches Of Snow

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the area and says up to 10 inches of snow is possible.

CHELMSFORD, MA – A winter storm watch was issued for Chelmsford Tuesday as another storm works its way to Massachusetts. The National Weather Service has forecasted anywhere from 6-10 inches of snow for Chelmsford. The Winter storm watch has been issued for north central and northeastern Massachusetts.

A winter storm watch means there is the potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulation.

"Plan on difficult travel conditions, mainly after the Wednesday evening commute," the National Weather Service said in a statement. "Significant reductions in visibility are possible."

Wednesday
A chance of snow, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 32. Northeast wind 9 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Wednesday Night
Snow. Low around 30. North wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches possible.

Thursday
A chance of snow, mainly before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Northwest wind around 9 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
