CHELMSFORD, Mass., June 11, 2014 – ERA Key Realty Services today announced that its Chelmsford office has merged with Century 21 Landmark Realty.
ERA Key’s seven agents in its Chelmsford office, 61 Central Square, will move to Landmark Realty’s historic office at One Chelmsford St., joining the 19 agents currently at that office. ERA Key now has 16 offices throughout central and eastern Massachusetts and is the fourth largest agency in Massachusetts by number of homes sold. It is also among the top 10 agencies in the ERA Franchise System, which has more than 2,400 agencies worldwide.

“This merger enables ERA Key to increase its presence in Chelmsford with an agency that has an ideal location, experienced agents and a great reputation,” said ERA Key President Bruce Taylor. “That’s a winning combination that will benefit agents, home buyers and home sellers.”

Andrew Wilson, owner and manager of Century 21 Landmark Realty, will continue to serve as manager of the merged agency.
“I’ve always seen the manager’s role as being responsible for agents and helping them grow their businesses,” Wilson said. “Now I will be able to focus more on that role. In addition, the merger will bring new technology and other resources to the agency, which will help our agents to better serve their clients.”
ERA Key’s Chelmsford office will have a full-time trainer, full-time technical support, and automated tools that will help agents sell more homes, work more efficiently and provide a high level of customer service, he said.
He added that he will also have more time to spend on recruiting. The Chelmsford office, which is located in an antique colonial home that was built in 1760 and moved from Billerica, has sufficient room for expansion.
Century 21 Landmark Realty opened in 1972 as Old Landmark Real Estate Company and it became the first Century 21 franchise in New England in 1978. Wilson’s father, Alfred Wilson, founded the agency and Andrew began working there in 1984 after graduating from college. He became the owner and manager in 2000.
“With the housing market continuing to improve, ERA Key has been growing,” Taylor said. “Our latest merger will enable us to continue our rapid growth and increase our share of business in Chelmsford.”
