Flash Flood Watch Issued for Middlesex County

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Middlesex County until 9 p.m.

The National Weather Service is predicting up to two inches of rain in less than an hour this evening in Chelmsford and other parts of Middlesex County, which could cause flash flooding particularly in urban areas and locations with poor drainage.

A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation, and the NWS recommends monitoring later forecasts and to be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
