Former Chelmsford Police Chief Ray McKeon Passes Away

McKeon headed the Chelmsford police department from 1980 to 1993.

CHELMSFORD, MA - Former Chelmsford Police Chief Ray McKeon passed away Friday, police announced on social media.

McKeon led the department from 1980 to 1993. He went on to serve as national president of the FBI's Law Enforcement Executive Development Association from 1994 to 1995.

McKeon counted the passing of the Digital Telephony and Communications Privacy Act of 1994 as his greatest accomplishment during his time with the FBI, according to the Lowell Sun.
