1. Happening Thursday: The Chelmsford Farmers Market is from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday on the common. This week’s spotlight vendors are Foxbarn Farms and Suds and Scrubs Cottage.

2. Coming UpThe Chelmsford Friends of the Library will hold a book drop-off on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Unwanted and gently used books, CDs and DVDs can be donated to the Dutton House, next to the Adams Library, at 25 Boston Road.

3. Weather: According to the National Weather Service, showers are likely Thursday. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
