How Can Chelmsford Attract More Businesses?

Local commercial brokers gave the Chelmsford Economic Development Committee advice on how to become more attractive to businesses.

CHELMSFORD, MA - Chelmsford is looking for ways to attract more businesses, especially with the recent announcement that Kronos will be making an exodus from the town to a new space in Lowell, the Lowell Sun reported.

Seven representatives from local commercial brokers attended a Chelmsford Economic Development Committee to help give insight into how the town can become better for businesses, the Lowell Sun reported.

The roundtable was reportedly scheduled before Kronos made its announcement in late February.

One of the main topics discussed in the meeting was the need for more amenities near business buildings to help make the locations more attractive to employees, according to the Lowell Sun.

Deane Navaroli, principal of Harrington & Reeves, suggested reducing barriers to entry and redeveloping land parcels so that businesses such as restaurants can open up, the Lowell Sun reported.
