How Much Snow Did Chelmsford Get?

The first real snowfall of the year dumped three inches of the white stuff on Chelmsford, according to the National Weather Service.

The unofficial measurement came via ham radio at 7:15 a.m. The National Weather Service often relies of community members to help measure snowfall around the state.

The snow, which started to fall Sunday night before giving way to rain Monday morning, contributed to Chelmsford Public Schools opening two hours late.
