Heavy Traffic After 3-Car Crash Closed I-495 Lanes In Chelmsford
A heavy backup is stretching back into Lawrence.
CHELMSFORD, MA — Two lanes have reopened on Interstate 495 southbound after a three-car crash at Exit 35 closed them earlier Thursday morning. State police reported the crash at 8:30 a.m., saying there were minor injuries. The lanes were reopened about 15 minutes later.
The traffic backup was significant, reaching into Lawrence. There is still heavy congestion as of 9:40 a.m., via Google Maps.
