Janet F. (Adams) Macentee: Lifelong Chelmsford Resident, Former Nashoba Tech Teacher
Services will be held Thursday in Chelmsford.
Janet F. (Adams) Macentee, 82 a lifelong resident of Chelmsford died peacefully on Monday November 9th at D’Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell. She was the wife of the late Henry J. Macentee who died in 2003.
She was born in Lowell on March 9, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Allan H. and Florence G. (Buchanan) Adams.
Janet graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1950 and was happy to attend her 65th Class Reunion in September.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Nashoba Valley Technical High School as a Special Education Teacher and at Wang Laboratories as an Accounts Receivable Clerk.
Janet was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Chelmsford, the Order of the Eastern Star Billerica Chapter No 212, the Essex Society of Genealogists, Inc, Chelmsford Historical Society, Chelmsford Alumni Association, Middlesex Canal Assoc. of Billerica, and the Knit-A Round Knitting group at the Chelmsford Senior Center. Janet took great pride in knitting beautiful sweaters for her family and also enjoyed peaceful moments doing yoga.

She is survived by her daughter Kathleen A. Feeney and her husband Robert L. Feeney Jr. of Chelmsford, son Robert H. Macentee of Hillsboro, NH; three grandchildren Evan S. and Gavin J. Macentee of New Boston NH, and Jolen Krasun and her husband Eric Krasun of Preston, CT, great grandchildren, Dylan and Aurora Krasun of Preston CT; step-grandchildren Robert Feeney and his wife Rachel, Sean Feeney and his wife Amy, Allison Feeney and her husband Jeremy Woodburn, and Margaret Feeney; step-great-grandchildren Hudson, Ainsley, and Declan, sister-in-law Eleanor R. Johnson, and many special cousins and friends. She was the mother of the late John D. Macentee and the mother- in -law of the late Bruce E. Knowles
Visitation on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, 10 Billerica Road, Chelmsford. Interment in Heart Pond Cemetery, Chelmsford.
