Looking at Maps of Chelmsford's Homes in Poverty, Trends of New Residents

Every week, Patch takes a look at data that shapes our community in a segment called Newscruncher.

Here's a look at last week's Newcrunchers from here in Chelmsford.

Homes in Poverty and Children in Poverty

Poverty in Chelmsford becomes more prevalent the closer one is to Lowell, with some areas of the city reporting one in two households in poverty.

Homes Without Plumbing

Grinder pump issues during electrical outages notwithstanding, just about everybody in town has plumbing, save a few spots in the Westlands and North Chelmsford.

New Residents and Veteran Concentrations

Almost one in five Drum Hill residents are veterans, and populations in the town center and South Chelmsford are also higher than the rest of town.

Over a third of the residents living in North Chelmsford, Chelmsford Center and Drum Hill have moved in within the past decade. East Chelmsford is right behind that figure.
