Marion "Jean" M. Neal, 86: Longtime North Chelmsford Resident, Beloved Wife and Mother

CHELMSFORD, MA - Marion “Jean” M. Neal, 86, a longtime resident of North Chelmsford and former resident of the Hart Pond neighborhood in Chelmsford, died peacefully at her home on Sunday Jan. 31, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late Sydney James Neal.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on January 20, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Pearl (Hadar) Moran.
Jean’s faith life was abundant and she was an active parishioner at Central Congregational Church, UCC in Chelmsford. She played many roles in church including serving on the church bereavement collation and was a member of the church’s KISELO Organization. Jean was very active in her community. She held membership in The Chelmsford Garden Club and in the Red Hat Society. Jean was a member at the Chelmsford Senior Center where she enjoyed playing Bridge and was in the Choir. She was also a retired member of AIIM (Association of Information and Image Management.)

Jean is survived by her daughters, Donna Neal of Milwaukee, WI; Dori Frankel and her husband, Melvin of Stoughton, MA; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Frankel, Marie Scibeck and her husband, Joseph, and Lt. Eric Seager of the Lowell Fire Department; and one great grandchild, Mary June Karlsen. Jean had many dear friends and cherished her lasting friendships with all of them. She was the sister of the late Pearl Szilagyi, John T. Moran and Robert L. Moran.
It being Jean’s request, visitation has been omitted.

Her Memorial Funeral Service was held on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at the Central Congregational Church, UCC, One Worthen Street, Chelmsford.
