Monday Essentials: A Lake Closure, Kids’ Sports Clinics & Cooler Weather

Around Town: Freeman Lake Beach is closed. The Board of Health closed the beach Tuesday because of bacteria levels. The beach was closed last year around this time for the same reason.

This Week in Sports: The Chelmsford Softball Clinic for girls grades one to eight begins Monday and continues through Wednesday. Walk-in registration begins at 8:30 at Chelmsford High School Field.

A three-day flag football competition for grades one to eight begins Monday at Chelmsford High School.

Local Government: The School Committee will meet Tuesday, July 23 at 7 p.m. in the School Administration Office.

The Weather: It should be cooling down this week, according to the National Weather Service. Temps will be in the mid-80s.
