New Year's Day 2020 In Chelmsford: What's Open, Closed

Find out what's opening and what's keeping its doors closed on the 2020 holiday.

CHELMSFORD, MA — Happy New Year! As you get your resolutions in order and step into the new year, it might be helpful to know what's open and closed. Town offices will be closed on Jan. 1 for New Year's Day, but they will be open normal hours on Thursday, Jan. 2. There will be a one-day delay for trash pickup: Wednesday on Thursday, Thursday on Friday and Friday on Saturday.

    • 110 Grill: New Years Eve: Open til 10 p.m. New Year's Day: regular hours (11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
    • Moonstones: NYE closed at 10 p.m. New Year's Day: 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (brunch til 2 p.m)
  • Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion
  • Supermarkets: Open at owner's discretion
  • Liquor stores: Open
  • Banks: Closed
  • Gas stations: Open
  • Showcase Cinema de Lux Lowell:Open
    • What's playing: Star Wars, Jumanji, Spies In Disguise, Little Women, Frozen 2, Cats, Uncut Gems, Knives Out, Bombshell, Richard Jewell
  • The Luna Theatre: Open
  • Parking: Free
