Obituary: Ednah C. Copenhaver, Former Chelmsford Town Meeting Rep

Edie was the co-owner of Gentle Arms Daily Transportation in Chelmsford.

CHELMSFORD, MA – Ednah C. "Edie" Copenhaver, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, MA, formerly of Lansing, MI, passed away April 13, 2018 following a brief illness. She was the beloved daughter of the late C. Colton and Roxiemargaret (Dalton) Carr.

Born and raised in Lansing, MI, Edie attended St. Mary's Cathedral School and was a graduate of Central Michigan University, where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.

Edie was the co-owner of Gentle Arms Daily Transportation in Chelmsford. She was the past president of the Merrimack Valley Chorale, a member of the American Arbitration Association, and served as a Town Meeting Representative in Chelmsford for 10 years. She was also a member of the Chelmsford Lodge of Elks Lodge 2310 and an avid bridge player.

She is survived by her close friend Ann B. McGuigan of Chelmsford, MA; her sister in-law, Dorothy Edes and her husband Wayne N. Edes, Sr. of Kennebunk, ME; her nephews, Wayne N. Edes, Jr. of Leominster, MA and William N. Edes of Kennebunk, ME. She is also survived by her two great nephews and three great nieces.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday April 19th from 3-7 pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME 24 Worthen St. CHELMSFORD. Her Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will take place in Lansing, MI on Monday April 23rd.
