Pot-Laced Brownies Allegedly Sold to Greater Lowell Tech. Classmates
Dracut teen will appear in Juvenile Court to face charges.

TYNGSBOROUGH -- A 16-year-old Greater Lowell Technical High School Student is accused of selling marijuana-laced brownies to his classmates at school.
Tyngsborough Police Chief Richard D. Howe said the 16-year-old Dracut teen will appear in Middlesex County Juvenile Court-Lowell at a later date, charged with:
• Distribution of a Class D Substance
• Juvenile in Possession of a Class D Substance (Citation).

Police were notified by administrators at Greater Lowell Technical High School that a student was found be allegedly selling marijuana-laced brownies to other students.
Police initiated an investigation, which led to the 16-year-old suspect being charged.

Tyngsborough Police Department School Resource Officer Sgt. Steve R. Manning worked closely with Greater Lowell Superintendent/Director Roger Bourgeois and school faculty in the investigation.
"Marijuana is not legal for children to buy, possess, or sell, and the Tyngsborough Police Department will not tolerate its presence or distribution in our schools," Howe said.
"The town of Tyngsborough is home to four secondary schools, and we are proud of the strong teamwork and collaboration that exists among our organizations. The safety, security, and welfare of our students is our first priority at all times."
