Public Auction for Chelmsford Land

A parcel of land on Princeton Street will be sold in a public auction next week.

A parcel of land on Princeton Street in North Chelmsford will be for sale at a public auction next week.

The auction will take place Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. at Tow Offices, Room 205.

In the records of the Chelmsford Assessors is identified as Parcel Identifier number 19/63/3 and being the premises described in book 1052 on page 566 at the Middlesex North Registry of Deeds, the Town said.

The parcel, located between 110 Princeton St. and 118-120 Princeton St., contains about 681 square feet. Its assessed value is $2,1000.

The Town came into the property after a judgement by the Land Court last July in the Town’s tax lien foreclosure case, No. 15 TL 000540.

The Town of Chelmsford listed terms and conditions:

"The successful bidder will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 in the form of cash, money order, or certified check to pre-qualify for auction participation. Personal or business checks will not be accepted. The buyer will also be required to pay pro forma real estate tax for the balance of FY 2017 and the entirety of FY2018. The buyer will be required to execute a Memorandum of Sale, Certificate of Non-Collusion, Arson/Tax Delinquency Statement, and other forms required by law. The balance of the purchase price and all fees must be paid to the Town of Chelmsford within 30 days after the auction. Buyer is responsible for the cost of recording fees at the Middlesex Registry of Deeds, estimated to be $125.00.
The property is being sold “As-Is”. The Town of Chelmsford makes no warranties, guarantees, or representations for this property and urges all bidders to rely entirely on their own inspection and investigation of the premises.
Minimum Bid: $750.00"
