Road Closures in Chelmsford: Route 27, Westford Shut Down

CHELMSFORD, MA - A motor vehicle accident shut down route 27 and a fallen tree blocked off Westford Street on Friday morning, police said.

Acton Road (Route 27) was closed between Byam Road and Park Road Acton Road after a motor vehicle scrash that took down a utility pole. The road was expected to be moving again by 7 p.m., police said.

Westford Street was also closed from from the center to Worthen Street as of about 10:45 a.m as crews cleaned up a fallen tree that took down a utility pole and electrical wires, police said. Westford Street had been reopened by Friday afternoon.
