Roberts Field Renovation Project Gets Underway

We are having our first event for the Roberts Field Renovation Project from 7:00PM till 11:00PM on Saturday March 7th at the Chelmsford Radisson (Flyer attached). Tickets can be purchased here by searching “Roberts Field Renovation Project”. Tickets can also be purchased at Brickhouse Center Sports Grill.

Roberts Field has been a Chelmsford staple for green space and recreation for all ages for as long as most can remember. With the blessing of the town, we have established the Roberts Field Renovation Project committee to research and begin to beautify, renovate and enhance Roberts Field into an incredibly versatile destination in town! This is a major undertaking in which we hope to garner as much community support towards creating an amazing park for the town of Chelmsford!

The Roberts Field Renovation Project, which we plan to break ground on in the spring of 2016 (hopefully sooner), is looking to accomplish their goals in a multi-faceted, multi-phased project, which will include, but not limited to (in no particular order):

a. A brand new, accessible, larger and more modern playground facility geared towards infants, toddlers, and school-aged children of varying abilities

b. A walking/running path around the perimeter of Roberts Field

c. A small amphitheater for community music, theater, and events

d. A wellness area for adults of all ages and ability levels

e. Enhanced playing fields

f. A park-like atmosphere with natural, landscaped and manicured “green” space

g. A picnic pavilion area

h. A bathroom facility

i. A splash-pad
