Chelmsford:
Book Drop-Off: Residents can bring their extra books, paperbacks, CDs and DVDs to the Dutton House, adjacent to the main library, for donation on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.Â
Prohibition Ball: Chelmsford Center for the Arts is throwing a 1920s Prohibition Ball on Saturday at 7 p.m. A dance workshop will be held at 6 p.m. to brush up on your foxtrot, tango and Charleston.
Lowell:Â Â
Folk Festival: The 27th annual Lowell Folk Festival is Friday through Sunday nights in downtown Lowell.Â

Acton:
Caterpillar Show: Hundreds of native caterpillars will be available for viewing at the Science Discovery Museum in Acton on Saturday anytime from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Caterpillar expert Same Jaffe will show and tell some of the largest and wackiest creatures you never knew were in your backyard.
Tea at the Tavern: A light tea and social etiquette lesson will be held in the parlor of the historic Jones Tavern in Acton on Sunday from 3:15 p.m. or at 4:15 p.m. Victorian costumes are encouraged, but not necessary. RSVP is required.
Westford:Â
Summer Book Sale: Thousands of gently used hardcovers, paperbacks, audiobook, DVDs and more will be for sale Friday through Sunday during the Summer Book Sale for Children, Teens and Tweens at the J.V. Fletcher Library. The sale is open to everyone, not just members, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Everything is half-price Sunday.
Service by the Pond: The United Methodist Church of Westford is offering a 9:30 a.m. outdoor service at the edge of Mill Pond on Sunday. Bring your household pet to get it blessed at a special pet blessing after the ceremony at 10:30 a.m.Â
Free Concert: The Nashoba Concert Band will play the Westford Common from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Bring a blanket or chair.
