Winter Storm Could Bring Snow To Northern New England

Have travel plans into northern New England? If you're trying to decide what to do this Sunday, know this: There's a Winter Storm Watch in effect for Sunday for parts of VT, NH and Maine, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters say there's a low pressure developing Saturday morning across the southeast US that will track to the New England coast tomorrow morning with the potential for 6" or greater of snow by Sunday night in some areas up north.

Meanwhile, in Massachusetts, depending on how you feel about snow, there's less to no snow, but a whole lot of rain predicted for Sunday.

Sunday near Boston it's mostly rain, with some patches of fog, according to the National Weather Service. Look for a high well above freezing - around 45 degrees, but there will be some gusts of wind up to 31 m.p.h.

Sunday night the rain showers will continue, and for those who love snow you may just get your wish, as the National Weather Service predicts it could mix with snow after 11 p.m.

" Little or no snow accumulation expected," the service said.

Western Massachusetts north of Worcester and near Fitchburg have a chance of a dusting.
