Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Chelmsford
The advisory goes into effect Monday afternoon.

CHELMSFORD, MA - While warmer temperatures could be in store later in the week, some winter weather could be coming to the Commonwealth.
The National Weather Service has announced a Winter Weather Advisory for Chelmsford and much of the area beginning at 1 p.m. Monday and lasting until 6 a.m. Tuesday. Anywhere from a light coating to two inches of snow is expected for much of the state, but two to three inches is possible for northwest Massachusetts.

The snow will change into sleet towards the overnight hours, but strong winds will be in effect. Winds could blow at speeds between 30 and 40 miles per hour along the southern coast.
Fog is also possible with temperatures surging to 50 degrees Tuesday. NWS expects visibility to be limited to a quarter of a mile.
