An 'Earth Matters' Movie, the Millbrook Tarry Task Force and More

What you need to see, do and know on Dec. 18 in Concord.

1. Earth Matters: The free film series continues at 2 p.m. this Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the Fowler Branch Library with a showing of "Big Miracle," a 2012 release inspired by the true story of "a small town news reporter and a Greenpeace volunteer who are joined by rival world superpowers to save a family of majestic gray whales trapped by rapidly forming ice in the Arctic Circle." 2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for Dec. 18 include the Retirement Board at 11 a.m., the CCHS Building Committee Site Based Subcommittee at 2:30 p.m., the CCHS Building Committee at 6 p.m., the Natural Resources Commission at 7 p.m., the Planning Board at 7 p.m., the Millbrook Tarry Task Force at 7 p.m., the West Concord Advisory Committee at 7:30 p.m. and the White Pond Advisory Committee at 7:30 p.m.
