Arts Classes for Kids & Adults at The Umbrella Start Sept. 17
Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Stained Glass, Quilting - and even Ninjas in Nature - Featured in the Fall Course Offering
The Umbrella Community Arts Center announced that online registration for arts classes for children and adults is now open. Classes begin the week of September 17th, with an array of classes as creative and fun as the instructors who teach them.
Adults can unleash their creativity with classes in drawing, painting, mixed media, and craft arts – ranging from stained glass, to felting, to quilting. Teen artists can explore the world of drawing and painting – and even have an option to explore how mindfulness and art come together to calm the mind and unleash creativity. Young ones can get their hands dirty and their minds stimulated with woodworking, sewing, and art classes that include zany zoo themes and artful animal adventures! The whole family can get outside and enjoy nature with Arts & Environment workshops ranging from ‘Ninjas in Nature’ to book clubs, to basket weaving.

Tuition assistance and sibling discounts are available. Families should be aware that art classes this Fall take place in two different locations. The majority of classes are being held at the Umbrella Annex location at 57 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner (ORNAC) while the main location continues through the exciting process of renovation and expansion. The ceramics studio at 40 Stow Street is one of the first sections of the main location to complete the renovation process, and class start times in this beautiful new facility will be announced soon.
