Celtics Honor 'Hero Among Us' Kelly Driscoll, Concord PMC Kids Ride Coordinator

Carlisle resident Kelly Driscoll is the coordinator of the Concord PMC Kids Ride.

CONCORD, MA – Carlisle resident and coordinator of the Concord Pan-Mass Challenge Kids Ride Kelly Driscoll was honored by the Boston Celtics during their March 24 game against the Phoenix Suns.

Driscoll received recognition as part of the Celtics' "Heroes Among Us" program, established in 1997 to honor "outstanding individuals who have made exceptional and lasting contributions to their communities." The award is presented at every Celtics home game and pays tribute to the heroic achievements of everyday citizens.

According to the Lowell Sun, Driscoll has raised more than $300,000 in nine years through her work with the Kids Ride. She began working with the PMC after her husband died of colon cancer.

This year's Concord PMC Kids Ride will be held Sunday, June 11 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Willard Elementary School.
